Tricks and treats: Halloween workshops for children

Looking for some Halloween half-term fun? Join Cats Protection for Tricks and Treats, a spooktacular weekend packed with creative craft workshops and Halloween activities for children.

Taking place on Friday 30th and Saturday 31st October, from 10am to 5pm, there's plenty to get involved in, from making spooky decorations to creating cat-inspired crafts to take home.

Friday 30th October timetable

• 10.30am to 11.15am: Black cat mask making. Ages 3+, free. Decorate your very own black cat mask.
• 11.30am to 12.15pm: Slime making workshop. Ages 5+, £7. Mix, stretch and squish your own slime to take home.
• 1pm to 1.45pm: Spooky greeting card making. Ages 3+, free. Create a spooky card for friends and family.
• 2.15pm to 3pm: Cat ear headbands. Ages 4+, £8. Decorate your own headband with glitter, gems and spooky sparkle.
• 3.15pm to 4pm: Mini pumpkin decorating. Ages 3+, £8. Transform a mini pumpkin into a unique seasonal creation.

Saturday 31st October timetable

• 10.30am to 11.15am: Trick or treat bag painting. Ages 4+, £10. Personalise your own tote bag for collecting treats.
• 11.30am to 12.15pm: Cat jam jar lantern making. Ages 5+, £7. Create a glowing seasonal decoration with a cat-inspired design.
• 1pm to 1.45pm: Witch hat decorating. Ages 5+, £10. Make your own witch's hat with spooky finishing touches.
• 2.15pm to 3pm: Halloween decoration making. Ages 4+, £5. Create a festive decoration to brighten your home.
• 3.15pm to 4pm: Pom-pom kitten making. Ages 7+, £8. Craft your own soft, pom-pom kitten to take home.

With activities for different ages and prices to suit a range of budgets, there's plenty to enjoy across the two days.
