Join us for a vibrant day celebrating diversity through creative arts and intercultural immersive performances, bringing communities together through music, storytelling, dance, crafts, and heritage experiences.
Event Highlights
🎨 Face Painting - Led by Cheeky Cherries – for children in the Creative Hub.
🥁 Drumming Workshops & Live Reggae Performance - Featuring Sinini Ngwenya, bringing rhythm, energy, and interactive drumming experiences.
🥁 Opening Parade – South Indian Traditional Band - Led by Dandanaka Kalai Kuzhu, setting the tone with powerful traditional music.
📖 Poetry & Storytelling - With poet Sakeena Martin, sharing words inspired by heritage and connection.
📚 Zulu Heritage Storytelling & Dance Workshops - Delivered and moderated by MayaLu Arts, combining movement, stories, and learning.
🧵 Family Textile Workshops & Fashion Design - Run by Fee’ Uhssi, also the designer behind the Cultural Catwalk.
🧒 Free Children’s Crafting Zone - Creative activities hosted by Art‑K Maidstone.
🏛️ Show & Tell – Intercultural Collection - Interactive sessions presented by Maidstone Museum staff, showcasing items from their intercultural collection.
🌸 Thai Heritage Experience & Folklore Performance - Featuring the Tida Nang Ram Group, with a dedicated exhibition and performance space.
💃 Indian Dance Performances - By the Maidstone Indian Association Group, celebrating traditional movement and storytelling through dance.
🎷 Live Saxophone Performance - With Netty Floyd, adding smooth soundscapes throughout the event.
🎧 DJ Sets - Curated by DJ Juwe, bringing global beats and party vibes.
🍽️ International Food Market - A curated selection of global flavours from local and independent traders.
🎭 Creative Arts & Craft Market - Showcasing handmade, cultural, and creative goods.
